What is a Peaberry Coffee? A typical coffee bean is half of a coffee cherry seed. So, there are two seeds per cherry. A peaberry bean is a result of the coffee cherry only having one seed. The bean is smaller and rounded instead of having a flat side. Since there is only one seed, it will take in all the flavor of the cherry and is considered richer and sweeter than typical beans.
Mount Kilimanjaro, a dormant volcano located in northern Tanzania, is the highest peak in Africa . Kilimanjaro's lower slopes provide fertile soil to grow Tanzanian Peaberry Coffee, and the climate provides excellent conditions for coffee trees to thrive. I roast this coffee to a light-medium which results in very flavorful medium body coffee. You will experience notes of citrus, honey and a hint of molasses. You will love it!
